I was thrown into the gutter by drugs, alcohol, mental illness and pornography. The good Samaritan picked me up and put me at Jericho Road in February 1997. I have been involved with them for as long as it took to recover. Many good people make this possible by giving to Jericho Road. I was dying inside and it was a road back to life!
Jericho gave me grace, and hope for a new life. I obey the rules, help out and do the next right thing. I am over 4 years clean and sober. Jesus loves me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
My contribution has been in service work. For example, landscaping the front patio stones and knitting. One particular story of my life here at Jericho is when I spent nine months in rehab at the Discipleship House from September 2014 to June 2015.
It was a great experience and I will never forget it.
Today, I am a Christian and a happy, recovering man.
