Coldest Night 2026
Walk with Purpose on Saturday, February 28, 2026
The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a family-friendly winter walk that raises awareness and critical funds for Jericho Road and Capital City Mission— Two local charities collaborating to provide vital support for vulnerable individuals in Ottawa’s Lowertown community.
When you walk with us, you’re not just braving the cold—you’re standing with those in our community who are experiencing hunger, hurt, and homelessness.
Why Walk?
The Coldest Night of the Year is more than just a walk—it’s a powerful movement of hope, compassion, and community impact.
By participating, you help us:
Last year, with your help, our Ottawa Lowertown walk:
- Raised $110,000+ to support critical services.
- Gathered 172 Walkers and 34 Teams braving the cold together.
- Created lasting change in Ottawa Lowertown.
Let’s make 2026 even more impactful—join us today!
How It Works
Ways to Get Involved
The Coldest Night of the Year is more than just a walk—it’s a powerful movement of hope, compassion, and community impact.
Why Support Two Charities?
Ottawa Lowertown’s CNOY event is one of the only locations in Canada supporting two local charities.
- Jericho Road offers faith-based addiction recovery, peer mentoring, and family support for those seeking long-term healing.
- Capital City Mission provides compassionate care through community meals, frontline support, and a welcoming drop-in center.
By walking, you’re amplifying your impact across both organizations. Together, we can provide hope, healing, and change where it’s needed most.
