The reality is there is no cure for addiction. It can be put into remission but never fully cured. This means that the responsibility for arresting the disease is the addict’s alone.
Sometimes I just want someone to hug me and say, “I know it’s hard. You’re gonna be okay. Here is chocolate and 6 million dollars.”
