Dear Friends,

As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the journey we've undertaken together, and we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Jericho Road.

Your continued giving has allowed us to navigate these challenges and stormy waters with grace. My staff remind me that our dependence upon God allows us to grow in many areas, though I sometimes still suffer from the delusion of being in control. I am very fortunate to have a team and a 12-step program that allows for accountability to be an integral part of our growth.

Our recent “Unwrapping Recovery” dinner and auction at the Glebe Community Centre, was a tremendous success, with a sold-out crowd coming together for a united purpose. I was so proud of Gerald, one of our recent graduates, who spoke at the event. At the end of his story, he parted with these words that I want to share with you…

“God has put a community of people in my life who support and love me today. God has also given me the ability to take what I have learned at Jericho Road and carry the message to others who struggle with addiction whether on the street or in recovery. Jericho has given me the tools I need to live in the world today and think of the needs of others rather than my own selfish desires. To say I am grateful is a huge understatement, I have learned that all we need to do is judge a little less and love a little more! Thank you to everyone, your support has helped to save my life!”

Through the generosity and commitment of our community we have made a direct impact on the lives of individuals undergoing transformation at the Discipleship House. We celebrate the success of all our residents including our 2023 graduates - John S, James R, Matt B, Pat F, Gerald J, and Jacob M, each of whom has embraced a new journey of hope, faith, and positive change. So many individual milestones have been surpassed in our Continuing Care programs. These accomplishments are the fuel that keep this community in awe of God’s faithfulness and grace. But we still need your help.

As we approach the new year, we invite you to join us in continuing this journey of hope, faith, prayer and positive impact. Your support has been a beacon of light, and together, we can overcome the challenges that lie ahead. I encourage you to consider an end of year gift or to become a monthly donor which provides consistent and reliable funding for all of our programs.

We are so thankful for all who give - that together - we're able to help more men like Gerald.

May this Christmas season be filled with joy, peace, hope and a sense of community. Thank you for being a vital part of our mission.

With heartfelt appreciation,

A Year of Impact
