Jericho Road provides a long-term residential substance use program for men, along with Continuing Care residences to enhance the opportunity for lasting abstinence. We are a faith-based and 12-Step focused organization dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where each client can find support, regain their sense of self-worth, and contribute to a brighter future after the isolating effects of addiction.

Job Description:

As part of the Jericho Road staff and in alignment with the JRM (Jericho Road Ministries) mission and vision of substance use recovery and mental health support, House Supervisors are responsible for supervising the residents, and to maintain house and program routines. House Supervisors will work under the supervision of the Addiction Services Coordinator. This position is shift dependant and some weekends and evenings will be required.

Key Specific Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with and supervision of the men in the 9-month substance use program.

  • Be attentive to individual client’s stressors, limitations, and needs.

  • Maintain program routines (classes, homework, AA meetings, chores, etc.) and advise the Addictions Services Coordinator of any necessary adjustments to schedules.

  • Encourage and support clients in maintaining a clean house, interior and yard. Report any necessary house repairs or maintenance needs.

  • Maintain daily shift log.

  • Dispense daily medication to clients, record MAR sheets, document PRN’s and medication errors.

  • Communicate any Rx changes and refills with pharmacy and with other staff.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience working with individuals living with substance use and mental health challenges or has lived experience and a minimum of 3 years of concurrent abstinence.

  • Extensive knowledge of 12-Step recovery programs, or active participation in them.

  • Valid ON driver’s license.

  • Strong organization and administrative capabilities.

  • ASIST Certification and Conflict Resolution certification.

  • Alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

House Supervisor (Part-Time)

We are called to serve with humility and to lead by example. It is an expectation of JRM leadership that you will maintain an active connection with a local faith community and attend regularly. Staff with lived experience are expected to work their recovery daily.
